Download and Install WooCommerce
Follow the below steps to install and activate the WooCommerce plugin.
Step 1: Log in to your website
Step 2: Go to Plugins > Add new and search for WooCommerce and click on the Install Now button
Step 3: After installation click on Activate button
If you install and activate the WooCommerce plugin the first time then you’ll see the WooCommerce onboarding screen something as below:

After installation, you’ll redirect to the onboarding steps.
Site Details
You need to fill in the basic details about your store so WooCommerce set up the store as per your need.
Here,
- Enter your country/region
- Fill in the address, zip, city, and email
- (Optional) tick the checkbox to get WooCommerce email newsletters
And click on the Continue button
You’ll see the consent popup screen as:
Click on Yes, count me in! button to proceed
Industry
Select the industry of your store belongs to.
And click on the Continue button
Product Types
Select the product types which you want to list on your eCommerce store.
Here,
Select those product types which you want to sell on your website.
If you have multiple products then select all of them.
The Memberships, Bookings, Bundles, and Customizable products are the other WooCommerce add-ons.
These are paid add-ons that are optional. You can purchase them if you want.
And click on the Continue button
Business Details
Enter your business details.
And click on the Continue button
You’ll see the 2nd tab of Free Features as

Select your required add-ons and click on the Continue button
Theme
Selec the theme for your WooCommerce store.
Here, You can select the free as well as paid theme.
Select the Storefront which is the basic theme built by WooCommerce and it’s absolutely FREE.
And click on the Choose button from the Storefront
The Storefront theme will install and you’ll see the below screen:
After a few seconds it’ll redirect to the dashboard as:
Add Products to Sell
Click on the Add products button
You’ll see the page something as below:
